Service Description

This 1 hour session is all about painting and decorating your own handmade pottery piece. The pieces have been made on the pottery wheel by one of our studio artists and bisque fired ready for you to decorate it. You will be provided with tuition in application of underglazes on pottery in order to create a design that is uniquely yours. This session does not involve making your own piece of pottery with clay, it is a paint your own piece session. Each handpainted pottery will be clear glaze fired in our kilns at Gerringong. This means the cup will be food safe, microwave and dishwasher safe once fired. All pottery will be available for collection 3 weeks after the workshop from Unit 3, 51 Rowlins Road Gerringong or can be posted at cost. What's included: *1.5 hours studio time * your own bisque fired piece of pottery to paint (choose from a mug, cup vase, small plate) Larger items are available at extra cost. * underglaze paints * tuition on using underglazes * use of tools & equipment * tea/coffee on request * clear glaze * glaze firing to ensure cup is food safe Additional info: You can choose extra items from our bisque catalogue to paint at additional cost. This includes mugs, vases, plates etc. Each piece is priced to include the cost of the piece, the paints, glaze and glaze firing of the piece. This is the perfect way to personalise your own ceramics. *this workshop is for adults. Our studio runs occasional one-off sessions for children in the school holidays.
