Service Description

A beginner - intermediate level wheel thrown pottery. Our teachers work with your skill level to assist you to make vessels on the pottery wheel. Please note: This course is 6 consecutive weeks only. (2.5 hours a week x 6 ) Your 7th lesson is a glazing lesson (3 hours) which will take place two weeks after your 6th lesson. The last 15 minutes of every lesson is allocated to the clean up and pack up process of ceramics. Includes: * tuition on pottery wheel by experienced teacher * clay * use of studio tools and equipment * bisque and glaze firing of up to 15 items each Our studio philosophy is one of mindful making. It's an opportunity for you to slow down, take time out of your busy schedule and concentrate on the tactile nature of clay. We encourage you to focus on the process more than the product. As such, we ask you to let go of some of your vessels to be recycled to be someone else's joy. We will fire up to a total of 15 items for you to keep. Please bring your own apron and old hand towel and wear covered shoes in the studio.
